Awhile back i had placed an order at Sephora for the main purpose of picking up the Stila "Hollywood Blvd" palette. It was on a promo for only $12 and i couldnt pass it up for such a low price, especially since i`ve been wanting to try Stila`s eyeshadows after getting a sample of the shade "Kitten" which i loved.
This trio includes three eyeshadows: Silver Maple (Champagne Color) GoldFish (Bright yellowish gold) and Stable (A chocolate brown). All of these shadows are shimmery and looked as if they would go together great. After using this trio for a few weeks i`ve come up with a few Pros & Cons, here they are:
-Sturdy sleek packaging
-Decent amount of product
-These shadows carried very little pigmentation, i had to rub my fingers over each shadow numerous times to get them to show up on my fingers. I swatched them over and over again on my arm to get them to appear on camera as well. As you can tell from my photos there isnt much difference between "Silver maple" and "Goldish" they look very similar when applied on my arm.
-Tons and tons of fallout, even with a small amount of these eyeshadows applied onto my eyes i still had a lot of fallout..and if i applied more (which i did because these shadows had very little pigmentation) the eyeshadows ended up looking cakey.
My experience with this palette wasnt good. The eyeshadows lacked pigmenation and had tons of fallout which i wasnt expecting coming from a Stila product. It makes me wonder if thats why this trio was only $12? Because the shadows arent any good. Anyhow, im glad that i did not pay for price for this (which i believe is $26).
Did you pick this trio up from Sephora?Did you have the same experience with the $12 trio palettes from stila as well?
