**PICTURES ARE MINE, PLEASE DO NOT USE**
Hey guys, so i want to review the Sleek Makeup Tinted Lip Conditioner, which is named Pout Polish. I have it in the shade No. 964 Peach Perfection, which is a gorgeous, light, pinky peach shade. I bought this from Superdrug last year and it retails for under £4 each. I also have one in another shade which i might do another blog post on.
I dont own any of the MAC tinted lip conditioners but i think that they are a cheaper, drugstore dupe for them. The first thing that i noticed was the smell as it has a sweet shea butter scent which i really like. The next thing i noticed was that it has SPF15, which is perfect for protecting your lips from the suns rays. Another thing i noticed was that these pout polishes contain key ingredients to moisturise your lips, i.e. Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil and Wheat Germ Oil, so i was very impressed with all of these key features before trying it on my lips.
So when i did actually apply it to my lips, i noticed that it gave a very sheer, subtle hint of a light pink colour, which looks nice as i am a bit pale but i dont think that it would look that nice when i have more of a tan as i think it would make me look washed out, so i definitely think that this shade would be perfect for lighter skintones. In terms of it actually conditioning my lips, it certainly did do the job. The only thing that really put me off was that it has a really awful taste to it as you can taste it when its on your lips. Here are my PROS</strong and CONS:
Moisturises my lips
Doesnt feel sticky on the lips
Gives a nice, subtle hint of colour to the lips
Has a nice, light, shea butter scent
Contains moisturising ingredients i.e. Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil and Wheat Germ Oil
Comes in a variety of shades to suit all skintypes
Comes in a reasonably sized container that is perfect for on the go (fits in your clutch and purse)
Has a really awful taste
OVERALL RATING: 4 out of 5
I would definitely recommend these pout polishes if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to MAC, or if you are just looking for a lip balm that has a subtle hint of colour. The only thing that i would warn you about is the taste as its not very nice at all and i think that Sleek Makeup need to do something to change that as it can put people off.
I hope that you found this review helpful =)
