just as there are trends when it comes to fashion, there are for nails too. I hated the shattered / cracked look, it just was not for me at all so I was a little iffy when I saw that Influenster had included a Sally Hansen magnetic nail polish - a new nail trend. I`m glad they did because I found out, I really like the way it looks !
this polish gives you this super cool 3D effect on your nails and it`s so easy to use ! I applied one coat, let it dry, applied the second coat and placed the magnet over each nail for about 10 seconds while the polish was still wet to get the look. I`m pretty sure you gotta do one nail at a time which is what I did. I then just topped it with a clear polish.
the best part of this is that you can achieve this amazing, cool looking design without doing much so, I mean really, how hard is it to just hold this thing over your nail for 10 seconds? they do come in 8 colors I believe, the one I received in my box is Silver Elements, which incidentally matches my fridge LOL these sell at just about every drugstore for under $10, yes, a little pricey when compared to other drugstore nail polishes but there are always coupons right?
the verdict : do I recommend it ? I do but if you have coupon, I think this is one of the most expensive drugstore polishes out there, even more than Essie & Orly. granted, the finished look is great and there are magnet variations so they`re not all the same but the price just seems to be a little steep. application was great, it looked pretty dang opaque with just one coat, it lasted quite a few days without any chipping, great polish !
