**PICTURES ARE MINE, PLEASE DO NOT USE**
Hey guys, so i want to review the Rimmel London Lasting Finish foundation which i bought earlier this year. I bought this foundation from Boots and retails for £6.99 which is reasonable for a drugstore foundation. I bought it in the shade No. 200 Soft Beige. The reason why i bought this foundation is because i heard, from Youtube reviews, that its comparable to the Revlon Colorstay foundation, which i love.
I would definitely say that it is as the consistency is about the same, as in thick, as this is a full coverage foundation. It doesnt contain SPF which can be a good and bad thing depending on the situation. The foundation claims to be:-
Transfer Proof, Hydrating and Lightweight Feel`.
I would definitely agree that its transfer proof. I partly agree that its hydrating and i definitely disagree that it has a lightweight feel. To me, i can still feel the foundation as it is thick, very similar to the Colorstay. I apply this foundation with a flat paddle foundation brush as it applies more evenly that way for me. If i use the Sigma F82 kabuki brush, i find that it leaves streaks. This foundation gives me such a flawless look, i love it. Here are my PROS and CONS:-
+Comes with a pump
+Gives me a flawless finish
+Is reasonably priced
+Doesnt have a flunky smell
+Available at all drugstores and online
+Doesnt contain SPF which is a good and bad thing
+Is slightly `hydrating`
+Has a thick consistency therefore not `lightweight feel`
+Not as many shades as Colorstay
OVERALL RATING: 4 out of 5
I would highly recommend this foundation if you are looking for an alternative to the Revlon Colorstay. Especially as this foundation has a pump. The only downside is that there are not many shades so it might be difficult to find your perfect shade, so you might have to mix foundations.
I hope that you found this review helpful =)
