I`ve seen a few reviews on the new revlon kissable lip balms, you know, swatches and stuff and my interest was peaked. I have two Tarte lipsurgence ones and I love them, they`re minty and super glossy and shiny - well the ones I own at least, but they are expensive and hey, if revlon is the same thing but cheaper, yeah, that`s a deal. on with the show ....
this is Precious, it`s a very natural looking shade, a sheer nude really. it`s not opaque by any means, I had to go over quite a few times to get the swatch to actually show on my arm whereas I only went over twice with the Tarte, I imagine my lips won`t fare too well here since they`re pretty pigmented as it is. it`s not very glossy either, definitely more of a stain than a lip balm-ish product, even though it says "balm" on the tube. as far as wear goes, it`s about the same, one doesn`t really wear better than the other. would I invest in more of the revlon ones ??? probably not, the colors are mainly pink (as in cool tone pinks) which I`m not a huge fan of because of the pigmentation of my own lips, I normally stick to the peachy stuff or warmer tones. then again, I`m pretty sure I won`t invest in any more Tarte ones so yeah, I think I`m good now !

in the last picture you can really tell the difference in color saturation. it makes no sense to pay $8-9 for the Revlon one when you have to use like 4 coats of it to get the same pigmentation you`d get with one to two swipes of Tarte, obviously you`d end up going through the Revlon ones faster. as excited as I was about the kissable balm stains, I`m now all lukewarm about them.
