Its been a long time since I`ve used liquid foundation! For the past almost two years now Ive been mainly using tinted moisturizer and Bare Minerals. I use to be a big user of M.A.C. liquid foundations but I slowly started to not like them. I`ve also tried my fair share of drugstore liquid foundations and there have been some hits but mostly misses.
Recently I decided that I wanted to get a new liquid foundation just because I wanted something for my face that had a bit more coverage then my tinted moisturizer and Bare Minerals and of course with the holidays coming up and holiday parties I wanted something that would last all day long. So of course I headed to my local drugstore and searched through the cosmetic aisles and it all came down to this Revlon Nearly Naked liquid foundation. Ive heard mixed reviews about this foundation and I also am not really a fan of Revlon liquid foundations so I was skeptical about it first. I did do a quick google review search while I was standing in the makeup aisle just to read some reviews and I ended up just getting it. I thought with a name with Nearly Naked, it couldn`t be too bad right?
This was $9.99 at CVS but the day I purchased it I did have some ECBs and coupons so I practically paid like two dollars for this foundation which was pretty awesome. Its a one fluid ounce glass bottle with a twist cap. Of course I wish this had a pump but besides that my overall thoughts on the packaging was just average. This product does have a certain scent to it and I believe that its from the SPF thats in the foundation but its not a scent thats too harsh. This is more on the runny side you be careful if your pouring this out on your hand. What I like to do it just dab a few dots of this onto my face and then buff it out with a brush. This is a bulidable light/medium coverage foundation and for me it did a great job covering up some redness that I have as well as some hyper pigmentation but the foundation doesnt completely mask those imperfections so you would need to go in with some concealer or do another coat of foundation, but as for me I didnt find that I needed the extra coverage. I found that this foundation blends out nicely and it doesnt sink into any fine lines. Ive also noticed that its not drying or cakey when applied of throughout the day which is amazing. And another thing I love is that this foundation doesnt oxidize too much on my skin! It feels very lightweight and it really lasts all day on my skin. I usually have my foundation on for about 11 hours a day and it still looks just as fresh at the end of the day as it did when I fist applied it in the morning. Ive been wearing this everyday since I bought this because I really love it! I have pretty combination skin so I didnt find the need to have to touch up or do any blotting throughout the day. Another thing I want to point out about this foundation is that it does not have a matte nor dewy/shiny finish and there are not sparkles in the foundation. Its a natural looking foundation so Id consider it to be more of a demi-matte finish foundation. Ive been so impressed with this foundation and Im glad I went with this foundation to try to get myself back into wearing liquid foundation. If you are looking for a light to medium coverage lightweight liquid foundation I highly recommend this one!
