Review: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation

Hey Girls! I apologize, I`ve been so bad with my posts lately, I don`t post as often as I used to, nor do I review stuff often anymore, but I`m back for sure! I`m super excited to do reviews again!
I got a lot of requests under the comments in my last haul post about reviewing the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation so here is an in depth review to help you guys if you`re contemplating on buying this product. Sorry if it`s long! Trying to give you guys as much info as possible.
The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy.
Buildable to full coverage for flawless skin
Soft, matte finish all day long
Withstands heat and humidity - great for summer
The packing of this product is quite nice, looks like something more expensive that you would find at a department store and not the drugstore. But then, that is also the downfall. It is NOT travel friendly, its glass all around and really THICK glass making it super heavy! And it can also break really easily. Plus it makes it look like there`s a lot of product in there when you`re really getting less than a normal drugstore foundation in there. There is only 0.8 fl oz. in this BIG jar as oppose to other drugstore foundations which usually have 1fl oz. or more in a smaller packaging.
Color Selection
Very important when buying this foundation why? Because the color selection isn`t very large, plus the packaging make it super hard to find your color match. This particular foundation color range is very light even though it goes up to a semi dark shade. I`m usually the 2nd lightest color, since I`m pretty light, so I got it in BUFF and it was SUPER pale, I had to go 2 more colors over to NUDE which is the 4th color over. And I haven`t tanned, I`m still really light! So be careful! But it`s okay CVS and Walgreens has a great return policy!
Now on to the actual product, its somewhere between a cream and a liquid foundation. Say like the texture of whipped cream but thicker. A lot thicker. This is a REALLY thick foundation but it won`t run or spill which tells u that it doesn`t really move. It feels like a liquid foundation on though. And also it`s thick it feels pretty light weight on my face. It blends beautifully into the skin, I thought it would be something that would just sit on top of your skin. I use a damp sponge to blend it and it looks flawless EVERY time. The coverage is medium to full, but without looking cakey at all! I can use 2 layers and it`s still not cakey, but for me I realize 1 covers up all my redness, blemishes, and pretty much most of my flaws. IF you have problematic skin, this is a GREAT foundation for you without being heavy or cakey and nasty. I get compliments for my "nice skin" all the time when wearing this because it really makes me look airbrushed and people can`t even tell I`m wearing foundation! Live photoshop in a jar. This foundation sets into a really nice natural finish, its not too matte and its not too dewy either. If you want it more matte then set it with a powder which I do anyways. This also photographs so beautifully! I wore this for my Senior Portraits and the pictures came out so great I looked amazing! The photographer told me he doesn`t even have to retouch anything. And, well I can`t say this is the best smelling foundation it smells like paint, but it does go away after a bit.
Staying power
I`ve tested this product with and without a face primer. It stayed on my face for a VERY long time through out the day day with and without. I have combo/oily skin so my T-zone tend to get oily and my foundation oxidizes off my face by the 4th hour. I put this on at 6 am until around 4 or 5pm I have to powder again or blot which is pretty good for me. With a primer underneath it will literally stay there all day and look the same as when I put it on early in the morning.
Bottom Line
My new favorite drugstore foundation! I love revlon, they never dissapoint. I think I`m starting to like this one more than the original colorstay foundation. It`s great, if you want a flawless airbrushed look that lasts ALL day, and its $13 which is kind of pricey for a drugstore foundation but I would repurchase it.
