[Review] Remington Pearl Ceramic Ultimate Straightener

So, last month I made /viz/haul-hm-bag-and-accessories http://www.luuux.com/design/screen-printing-home?tid={transaction_id}&aff_id={affiliate_id} saying how I was getting ready to attend a fraternity banquet. For the banquet, I wanted to straighten my hair, but my straightener had broken :( So, off to Target I went to pick up a new one! This
Remington Pearl Ceramic Ultimate caught my eye because of the pretty packaging. I think it was originally around $30, but that week it happened to be on sale for $25 (just my lucky day since I went on the last day of the sale too! haha). I don`t usually just pick up products like this due to the packaging (I like to research the company and stuff and see how it is, etc), but I had no time this time! Moreover, I figured if I was disatisfied, I could just return it afterwards. I was definitely NOT dissatisfied. This hair straightener was really gentle to my hair, I think. My hair didn`t feel dry or anything after I used it, at least. Moreover, my hair was pin straight with just one run through (usually I have to run through my hair a few times with cheaper hair straighteners). The straightness lasted through the whole day, and even into the next day after sleeping on it, it was pretty amazing... However, the
MORE AMAZING part was that the next day my hair was actually SOFTER than the day before. I LOVED the feeling. Straight, smooth, and SOFT hair after a HEAT TREATMENT?!?! Can it really get any better than that? If it can, please let me know how :p Because I think that`s pretty much as good as it can get. When I used it for the formals, I DID wash my hair beforehand and spritzed some John Frieda Full Repair spray on, which is like a leave-in conditioner and it also acts as a heat protectant so I thought that could`ve affected the softeness of my hair. I have since used the straightener again a few times, without the John Frieda spray and it still yelded the same results (smooth and soft for the day of straightening and EVEN MORE soft on the second day). I think the smooth/softness has something to do with the plates. The box says that the plates are made with real pearl, so that must be what makes your hair so soft :) Have you ever tried this straightener? If not, what kind of straightener do you use?
Pictures are mine, please do not take. Thanks :)
