<strong>Hello lovely Luuuxers!</strong>
About a month ago, CVS had an awesome sale on Physician`s formula products, and I was able to pick up this new face powder that I had heard great reviews on! It is the <strong>Mineral Wear Talc Free Mineral Airbrushing Powder with SPF 30</strong>! WOW that was a mouthful of a name!! Anyway, I`ve been using this product since I bought it so now I am ready to give my opinion!
Gives smooth, barely-there finish that is not dull or flat. I hate it when powders take away the natural dimension of your skin, but this still makes your skin look natural.
SPF 30!!! That is awesome for a powder. I`m not sure exactly how effective the sunscreen is since it`s in powder form, but I`d imagine this would be a great way to incorporate SPF into your routine, whether you use it on top of foundation or just want to quickly brush this on when you`re wanting a low-makeup day.
Talc-free formula is very gentle and feels wonderful on the skin. My skin always felt sort of itchy and weird when I used powders, but I thought this was just the nature of the product. Now I know that I`m probably sensitive to talc, and my skin has never felt better while wearing makeup! I highly recommend this for sensitive-skinned ladies like me!
Color is truly translucent. I like that it sets my makeup without changing its color or adding too much coverage, especially if I`m going for a light-coverage in the summer!
This powder is pretty expensive for a drugstore product! I was lucky enough to score this on sale (<strong>and there is a PF sale going on right now at CVS for $7 ECB, fyi!</strong>), but regularly priced it is around $15, which is ridiculous! I do really like it, but it is a lot to drop on one powder. Try to pick this up on sale if you can!
The packaging is pretty bulky! That is my major concern with all PF products. The compact is huge, and while I love that it comes with a little brush, I feel like it doesn`t need to be so round. It is not very great for travelling lightly!
It is not excellent for oil control in the summer. Fortunately, I have pretty dry skin, even in the summer, but I still had some breakthrough shine around my T-zone after about 4 hours of wear. This is not particularly a concern of mine, but this might not wear so well for people with more oily skin. I`d imagine it probably performs a bit better in the cooler winter months.
<strong>Overall Rating: 8/10</strong>
<strong>Let me know if you`ve tried this product or if you`re planning to! I have been enjoying it a lot! Also, like I said above, don`t forget that CVS is having a great deal this week on PF products in case you`re planning on purchasing this powder!</strong>
