Oscar de la Renta is known for being synonymous with femininity and class. His clothes are always made with the woman`s body in mind; and his fall 2012 collection is no different. It beings with diamonds and pearls; crystalsin your hair, decorating a pretty headband. Then you languish them from your earlobes. But not after quickly throwing a stack around your neck. Or you could pin them onto yourself somewhere around the décolleté. Or better stillboth! Your waist will dazzle because a buckle denuded of sparkle is, please, just dull, dull, dull. Youll almost forget your wrists for a second, and add the jewels there to assuage the little panic that set in at seeing them unadorned. And since youve gone this far, what the hell, your feet are looking a little lackluster now, better affix a bauble or two to your booties. Then, if youre Oscar de la Renta, youll also blow the jewels up big, and print, embroider, and splash them over sheath dresses, tiny jackets, skinny pants, and oversize parkas and nip-waist coats, both of which come with fox collars. But even for Oscar, all that hyper-embellishment isnt enough, so the final touchbig jewel-encrusted buttons.
One of my favorite things about this collection are the headbands. Every time I look or think about them, I just scream with OMG OMG OMG, I need these, I want these, I must have these, and wear them everyday. I am even going to making a tutorial on how to make these headbands. And then another tutorial on how to do your hair like this.
I love how on a lot of his new clothes there are over sized chandeliers embroider onto his dresses. And on others there pearl and crystal embroidered patterns.
All of his clothes though are reminiscent of the 50`s. A classic ideal that every woman needs to have in her closet.
Overall, this collection is Fab-u-lous!
And who doesn`t love furry boots?
