The product I am reviewing is the Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock in SPF 70. This was one of the items that was included in Target`s Beauty Bag a few months back.
Leaves skin soft and smooth
This is just a travel-sized sample, but I know the full size of this product ranges around $10-12 depending on where you purchase it at. I have seen it sold at various drugstores, Walmart, Target, Ulta, etc.
The product comes in a plastic tube with a twist-off cap.
Sunscreen is really important in my everyday skincare so I was really excited to try out this product. I know a lot of people really love this sunscreen, and although I do like it, I do not love it. One of the things I like about it is the fact that it doesn`t have a strong sunscreen-like smell. It smells almost like fresh baby powder. The product does seem moisturizing under my skin and appears to go well under my makeup. I find the marketing for this to be deceiving because this sunscreen does not provide a "Dry-Touch" finish. After applying it, your face remains slick and shiny looking. It never dries down to a dry or matte finish. This is a chemical sunscreen rather than a physical sunscreen, so just keep that in mind. I prefer physical sunscreens more. I find that this didn`t break my skin out, however, I have to make sure to really remove all of my makeup at night, especially if I am wearing this sunscreen because it will break my skin out if left on overnight.
OVERALL, I rate the Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70 a B.
It`s a good sunscreen, but I`m not in love with it. I still want to shop around for other sunscreens, so. I`m not going to repurchase this anytime soon. If anything, the highest SPF I would purchase is probably 55 - anything higher doesn`t seem that effective to me anyway.
Are there any sunscreens you guys can recommend?
