The product I am reviewing is the Murad Claryfying Cleanser.
I believe that the current cleanser that I have right now is an older version of the current Murad Clarifying Cleanser because it is in a different packaging.
Sephora and Ulta now sells the current Murad Clarifying Cleanser for $26 (6.75oz) or $35 (12oz)
The version that I have was the full-size version back then at only 4.5 oz and I believe that the cleanser was around $23-26
"This cleansing gel effectively keeps skin clean and clear. Use it daily to help eliminate blemishes, prevent new breakouts, and maximize penetration of powerful acne treatment ingredients. In less than one minute, it reduces 99.9 percent of irritating surface bacteria. "
Active ingredient: 1.5% Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment
- Synthetic Dyes
Packaging is really simple and minimal. The product is in a plastic tube bottle with a flip-top cap.
I have been using this cleanser on and off within the past year or so, but I`m pretty determined to finish it up. This is a gel-formulated cleanser. I really like the scent of this. It has this citrusy/green tea/menthol scent! On the skin, it feels quite refreshing and wakes my skin up. The menthol is not incredibly strong at all so it doesn`t irritant my skin much, but then again, I don`t have sensitive skin. I prefer using this cleanser with my Clarisonic Mia and it works great with the Mia! The cleanser foams up pretty nicely. After rinsing, my skin feels really clean from this cleanser. I do think that it does a good job at removing dirt, oil, bacteria and blemishes. With regular use of this cleanser, my skin did clear up and I felt like I got blemishes less and less.
OVERALL, I give the Murad Clarifying Cleanser an A-
Although it is a good cleanser for those with oily or acne-prone skin, it might be a little pricey. I won`t be repurchasing any time soon since I have so many other cleansers that I want to go through first.
