I believe it`s about time I reviewed the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream that I have been using EVERYDAY for a month now. I`ll cover every aspect of it in this review because it makes it easier to understand and see what part you`d like to know about. Sorry if this post is kind of long, but I hope it helps you guys!
**Note: I have combo/oily skin and I have some break outs here and there and redness**
Where to Buy
You can buy this at the Missha`s website online if you`re in the U.S (http://www.misshaus.com/ctrl.php?page=index) they usually have special promotions. Like for the holidays and for the first time you sign up you get a free bb cream with a purchase. Right now if you go to their website you can take a survey that will enter you in a drawing for a free BB Cream and BB Boomer. You can also find it on Ebay and Amazon, but I don`t know if its real which is why I order it from the actual site.
The Perfect Cover BB cream is $29.99 which is quite pricey on their legit website. I got mine during the holiday season on Christmas day it was on sale for $9.99 and I got the free BB cream as well. If you`re wondering I ordered it on the 25th and it took about 4 days to process so it shipped out on the 29th and I received it the mid of the next week. Which is pretty fast since they ship it from one of their branches in New Jersey.
This BB cream comes in a shiny red/gold box, and the tube is red. It`s plastic all around. The good thing is it comes with a pump which is great especially since its hygienic. And it gives the perfect amount every time so you`re not wasting product.
Consistency and Coverage
This BB cream is somewhat in the middle of thick and liquidy. Its not so thick that its hard to work with, its actually really easily blended into the skin with just fingers, which is the great thing about BB creams in general. The application is fast and easy plus it doesn`t steak and look nasty. The coverage of this BB cream is average light to medium that is build-able. Usually BB creams don`t have much coverage if you`re looking for great coverage BB creams are not for you. This is one of the BB creams with the better coverage. It covers up my acne scars, redness, and evens out my skin tone. It won`t cover up a huge pimple or my dark circles so I have to use concealer over it. It gives a natural finish, yet its matte which good for my oily skin.
I got mine in shade #21 Light Beige which is the 2nd lightest color. I have pinkish yellow undertone, which is pretty normal but I`m also really light so it makes it hard to look for the perfect shade. This shade works perfectly. At first it is REALLY white looking, you`d look pretty ghostly with a gray cast but give it a few minutes it blends in perfectly with my skin tone which is GREAT! The color of this BB cream will always be slightly white though, because of the SPF so not the best makeup to wear while taking pictures, but for everyday its fabulous.
Longevity(Wear time)
BB creams never last really long which is a downside to the awesomeness of this actual product. For me, I have oily combo skin as stated above along my T-zone it starts to oxidize first by about the 4th hour or so. But I just use a primer and set it with a powder it lasts a bit longer, its not noticeable, but for some people it might be a problem.
This particular BB cream is suppose to help whiten skin, it has anti-wrinkle stuff in it and its also sun protection with SPF and its pretty much a moisturizer. I did notice by the middle of the 2nd week my skin got brighter, I wouldn`t say its lighter because I`m already light I don`t notice. It improved my skin, my acne scars looks like they`re going away, and this is not drying at all. It feels like a tinted moisturizer but with more coverage and color. This did not make my acne prone skin break out at all, it actually made me break out less, I`m sure its a combination of this and my face wash. Overall my skin is starting to look a lot better after using this for a while.
Personally, I love this BB cream I use it everyday go to foundation pretty much. its great, and for the price I got it for I was really happy. But even at full price when I`m out I`d buy it again. But maybe order another one to compare it to as well. It makes my morning makeup routine for school and everyday use fast which means I can sleep in! I`d recommend it for anyone because it is for all skin types and if you`re looking for BB cream to try, this might be the one you should try.
How I apply:
Like a foundation there are a million ways you can apply a BB cream. Since its almost like a moisturizer the best way I find to apply this is over a foundation primer or the BB boomer primer base for BB cream with your fingers and blend it in. Then, pat on a 2nd layer with your fingers if needed for more coverage which I do everyday.
If you want less coverage like a more sheer coverage on days I have nicer skin but I just want even skintone and the protection of the SPF from this I use a damp sponge and apply it.
After any of these techniques I would always let it set for a minute or 2 then dust a translucent powder over it to make it last longer.
One pump is good for the whole face if required 1/2 a 2nd pump will be good enough to cover up some more flaws...or blemish here and there.
**Oh yes, if you`re wondering this has a light perfume smell almost like the scent of the chanel vita aqua lumiere foundation which smells really nice too***
**I also have photos of this BB cream on in my past posts of my face of the day and what not.**
