A few months back my best friend came into town we made plans to spend the day together-we`re always sending each other gift cards in the mail on holidays and giving each other presents when we see each other. I especially love giving presents to her as she has a 2 year old son named "Liam" and buying gifts for him is always fun.
On our last visit she pulled a pale pink box out of her purse and said, "I brought this for you, its amazing and changed my skin completley!" Naturally i was excited.
This face lotion is from the brand "Mary Kay"..which i believe is kind of like Avon. I know that she bought this particular moisturizer from a girl we went to school for who sells MK products. I personally had never heard of this brand prior to getting the moisturizer so i did a little research just to become familiar with the brand.
TimeWise Moisturizer retails for $22. She gave me the "Combination to Oily Skin" one but i do know that they make them for dry skin as well. The lotion comes in a sleek light pink squeeze like tube which i really like.Inside the box included a few details about the product that said:
"This oil-free lotion helps reduce the appearance of fine lines for younger-looking skin. Plus, it contains an antioxidant to help guard against free radicals which cause the skin to age. The combination to oily formula helps absorb and control oil while providing essential hydration and special ingredients to give the skin a silky feel with a matte appearance."
I usually wouldnt spend over $10 on a moisturizer but for a 3 Fl. oz. bottle its not too spendy.
From using this moisturizer for about 3 months now i dont really think its product that i absolutley love like my friend does. I do however like it but its not something i find to be a "holy grail" product as it is for her. I dont have any complaints about it...it does moisturize pretty well, melt into the skin nicely, and feels smooth/hydrating as too.
I dont think i would buy this with my own money beings that i`ve found cheaper alturnatives in drugstores that work just as well. Im glad that it works amazingly for her but for me it performed like any other moisturizer i`ve used-i also didnt notice any reduction with the oil on my face.
Theres only been one moisturizer i`ve used that i 100% loved and that was philosophy`s "hope in a jar"...i got a sample of it from sephora and really wanted to try it since it was one of Oprahs "favorite things" haha. I would never buy it on my own beings its very expensive and not something i feel as if i couldnt live without.
Has anyone else tried Mary Kays TimeWise Moisturizer? If so did you like it? Also, what is your favorite face lotion? I`d love to see some recommendations!
