Hey guys :)
today, I want to review the Matchmaster Foundation by MAC.
Let me tell you, I`m obsessed!
Before this foundation, I used the MAC Studio Fix Fluid, the only foundation that really worked for my problematic, oily skin.
I wanted to try the Matchmaster because I heard on youtube that it`s just like the Studio Fix, but much better... and it is!
First of all, the packaging: The Matchmaster comes with 35ml, so you get a little more product than with other MAC foundations, you also pay more though. The container already comes with a pump, which I think it`s great! (I hate pouring out foundation, it gets so messy ugh!)
Now, I got the shade 1.5, which is the second or third lightest color. When I first got the foundation (I ordered online), I thought this was waaay too dark for me (and I`m not that pale!).
But when you apply it and blend it in, that`s when the name Matchmaster really makes sense: it seems like the foundation melts into your skin, it`s like it changes to your skintone automatically! I`ve never had a liquid foundation that matched my skin better than this one!
It also does stay almost all day (and it doesn`t even claim to be long-lasting!) and it also stays matte very very long, which is the best benefit for me.
You know this gross feeling you get after wearing liquid founation for several hours? Like you can feel your skin getting oily and the foundation feels very heavy on your skin?
Well you just don`t get that feeling with this foundation, it`s really really light-weight!
The only downside to this is the coverage, which I`d describe as light to medium. I need full coverage, which my previous MAC foundation provided, now I need to work more with concealers, which I`ve let my foundation do that job for me before.
Together with my MAC Blotting Powder, I can still achieve full coverage.
Well, I love this foundation because it`s light-weight, feels great on my skin, it`s longlasting, it machtes my skintone perfectly and it looks pretty natural.
And with a good concealer and a powder that provides coverage also, you can achieve full coverage if you want/ need to.
I know it`s expensive, but I will happily buy this over and over again, I`m just glad I found something that really works for me! :)
Have you tried this foundation?
If so, what do you think of it?
What foundation are you currently using?
If you have any other question pls leave them down below in the comments section and I will answer them :)
