The product I am reviewing is the L`Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Quad in "220 Milla`s Blues".
This product retails for around $5-7 and is sold at various drugstores, Walmart, Target, and Ulta wherever L`Oreal products are found.
The quad has a black plastic lid with a circular see through window that lets you see the colors of the eyeshadow inside. The lid lifts up to reveal the eyeshadows, which are held in square pans. There are two sponge applicators that are included. On the back of the quad, there is a little illustration that gives you a look that you can do with the eyeshadows.
SHADOWS IN QUAD:
1: A matte off-white eyeshadow
2: A golden-champagne shade with a satin finish
3: A dusty cornflower blue shade with a satin finish
4: A deep blue with a satin finish
I have had this quad for a really long time now and when I first got it, I was really drawn to the colors in this quad, particularly the blues. I have never used it until the last couple of weeks because I ran out of my Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow as a highlight and didn`t want to go out and buy another one, so I looked to this quad since it had a matte off-white shade. To keep it short, I do not like this palette at all - but I will continue to use it. My most used shade is the matte off-white shade, which I use as my highlight shade underneath my eyebrows. It`s really chalky though so I do not like it at all. Shade 2 is a golden-champagne shade that I find is probably the most pigmented shade in this palette. I found that it is best to apply this with your fingers because you will get it to show up the best. Shade 3 is a dusty cornflower blue and is the biggest disappointment of all. It is not pigmented and is hard to get that color to show up on the eyes, even with a primer. Shade 4 is a dark navy blue, which I think is really pretty. This shade appears best after using a primer, but even then, it`s chalky and is hard to apply! With the swatches, I had to apply shade 3 and 4 heavily to get it to show up.
OVERALL, I give the L`Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Quad in "220 Milla`s Blues" a C-
Of all the shades in this quad, I would only recommend the matte off-white shade as a highlight (although it is chalky) and the golden-champagne shade with a satin finish as an all-over-the-lid color (when applied with fingers). The other shades in this quad are not pigmented and is hard to apply. I will continue to use this quad to finish up these colors but I do not recommend this quad at all and will not be repurchasing. I`m also hesitant to even want to try out any of the other L`Oreal quads from this line even though they do have very pretty shades.
