Description: For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. At least, not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and probing eyes, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora`s not sure who to trust--she can`t decide whether she should fall into Patch`s arms or run and hide from him. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth more unsettling than any feeling Patch evokes. For Nora stands amid an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen--and choosing the wrong side will cost her life.
Review: This story was completely addicting. It was definitely one of those stories that I had to force myself to put down at 5 AM, and kept myself awake for another hour just itching to pick it back up again.
I really liked all characters and how they developed throughout the story. Nora is a fairly average teenager; she is logical, practical and easy character to relate too. Then theres Patch the bad boy hes cocky, arrogant, obnoxious and his constant innuendos were perverted but its mostly just a front because theres also something kind of sweet and likeable about him. I loved Nora and Patchs relationship, they complemented each other perfectly. The way they sort-of repel each other while at the same time being unable to stay away from each other, and Fitzpatrick`s splendid descriptions of their attraction, are really what make this book. It seemed at first like that good girl bad boy relationship but it was so much more than that.
The other characters are all well written, and Nora`s best friend, Vee, is absolutely crazy and outspoken, a total breath of fresh air in what is at times a really intense atmosphere.
The pace picks up considerably half way through with lots of twists and turns which keeps the momentum of the book trucking forward until the very last page.
I highly recommend this book and I cant wait to read the next in the series. This book gets a 5/5
