There isn`t a huge list of makeup that I feel was a waste of money, but this primer is one of those! I decided to try this product out because I had heard a lot about it. My friend had one and let me use it one day, and I liked it. It was on the cheaper side, only about $8 at Walmart. The packaging is really cute, and I like that it is a squeeze tube so you can get all the product out. My regular Benefit primer is $30 so I figured why not? This "Perfecting primer evens out skin tone and creates a flawless, smooth finish to skin. Fills in fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. Can be worn alone or under makeup" or so the package says, but now that I have tried it for awhile I think otherwise! When you first apply it, it goes on fairly smooth and makes your skin silky. It also does help your makeup to apply smoother, however this is a silicone based primer, and I have oily skin. The two do NOT go together! My face would be oily not even 10 mins after applying this and would stay that way out the day. I could scratch my face and makeup would just slide off! It also does not fill in pores whatsoever, it seems that way at first but throughout the day I think it even made them more visible. The formula is very similar to Smashbox`s Photofinish, but it does contain a small amount of glitter which I didn`t like. It also broke me out after a couple days. This may work for someone who has dry skin, but if you are oily, beware!
