**PICTURES ARE MINE, PLEASE DO NOT USE** Hey guys, so i want to review the
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Anti-Ageing in the shade
Medium. I bought this BB cream from Superdrug or Boots, i cant remember where as i bought it a few months ago last year. This retails for the same price as the original Garnier BB Cream which is £9.99. Im quite surprised that Garnier are coming out with different BB Creams catering to different skintones and skintypes which i think is brilliant. I bought it in the Medium as i am olive-skinned and Light would be a little too light for me. I also picked the Anti-Ageing one as i am older and want to prevent it. I absolutely love the original BB Cream. I do find that these Garnir BB Creams give a shiny face but i dont mind that too much as i powder the areas where i get oilier which is my t-zone and also because i have dry/combination skin so i dont mind that extra moisture. This BB cream specifically caters for women you have wrinkles and fine lines, as stated on the box, but i didnt see that till i got home. Anywho, i still wanted to try it. This BB Cream contains Pro-Xylane which, i quote, is known to stimulate the synthesis of collagen fibres - it reduces the appearance of wrinkles and leaves skin feeling firmer. This BB Cream also contains Mineral Pigments which, i quote, immediately unifies the skin for a sheer and natural look. When i first applied this BB Cream, i noticed the smell. It has the unique Garnier scent to it which i love - nice and rosey. The way that i like to apply this BB Cream is to apply and blend it with my fingers first and then go in with the Sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush to blend it into the skin well - i use the tapping motion more than the swirly motion. Well, as soon as i started applying the BB Cream with my fingers, i noticed there was redness in it, which you can see in the 3rd picture. I havent had this experience with the original BB Cream so i was very surprised at this. I think it could be the ingredient that gives it the Medium colour. Once youve blended it into the skin thoroughly, it disappears. I also noticed that this Medium shade is too dark for me, which i am surprised at also as the Medium shade in the original bb cream is perfect. I assumed that the shades would be the same in all the Garnier BB Creams, obviously not. It makes me look like ive had a bad case of fake tanning. So as a result, i do have to apply a very lighter foundation which i apply in the areas where i would normally highlight. I dont like to apply it all over the face as i think that it would get cakey. Apart from this, it blends really well into the skin and covers most of my flaws. The formula is just very slightly thicker to the original bb cream, i have noticed. I think that i will definitely have to get this BB Cream in the Light shade and see if thats any better.
OVERALL RATING: 3.5 out of 5
OVERALL VERDICT: I dont think that i specifically need to purchase the Anti-Ageing formula bb cream as i dont have any wrinkles or fine lines but as i do want to prevent them, i wouldnt mind trying this BB Cream but in the Light shade instead as Medium is too dark for me. I definitely will not be repurchasing this BB Cream in the Medium shade.
