I`ve recently finished several of my foundations, one of them being the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I first bought this foundation a year and a half ago (so it`s about time I ran out of it!) because I saw tons of reviews about how full coverage and matte it was. That sounded perfect for my oily skin in the summer so I gave it a whirl. I did a review on this product at the time (more of a first impressions) in which I talked about how much I loved the foundation. While those kinds of posts are informative, I think it`s even more helpful to review products once you`ve finished them. As you can see from the picture above, I really got my money`s worth with this product.
...the coverage (full coverage, although it can be applied more lightly for a medium coverage or mixed with a moisturizer for a light coverage)
...the finish (matte for an oily skin individual)
...the lasting power (one of the best features of this product is how well it lasts throughout the day, very long lasting)
I didn`t like...
...that it has no pump (since this is not a foundation that needs to be shaken, I dont see why I`m not given a pump)
...the colour range (I had to buy 2 bottles of this to get the colour I was since I was between 2 shades that were quite far apart in my opinion)
Neither here nor there...
...the price (for a high end foundation this is reasonable at $40, overall its pricey)
...the packaging (the bottles not ugly but its kinda dated)
...the blendibility (as with all long-lasting foundations you have to blend it quickly)
Overall, I would definitely recommend this foundation and I have already repurchased it for myself. I personally get mine from The Bay (i.e. Canadian Nordstroms) where I wait for the gift with purchase event so I can get a bunch of free products with it as well. (Keep a look out for a future post with that haul and the free products!)
