Whenever I place an order on Elfs website i am always on the hunt for something new..especially since elf is so cheap i feel as if i want to to try everyrthing that sparks my attention since i know i will not be out a large amount of money.
On my last order one of the products i knew i wanted to get was the "Studio Complexion Perfection Powder". I havent read many reviews on this powder but was still curious to see how it would work out for me. After using it and hitting pan (which only took a week btw!) i`ve decided to list a few PROS & CONS..Here they are:
*Beautiful sleek black packaging with a fairly large mirror.
*Large amount of product itself.
*Smooth, this powder has a nice silky finish to the touch.
*Works well with anyone who struggles with oily skin..which i do, i did notice that it mattifies my skin longer then my normal drugstore powders.
*Can be used for multiple purposes: The yellow section works well to brighten under the eyes..Green/yellow is good to reduce redness.
*If you`re tan like me or have a darker skin tone this probably will not work well for you. I wasnt aware of this and in fact had never used a translucent powder before so i was curious to see how this would do with my skin. After doing some research and after wearing this powder for a week straight i tried to find out more info on this product and saw alot of woman online saying that this is aimed more towards pale skin. Whenever i apply this i look like a ghost with a tan body...even if i apply this powder lightly it leaves a white like chalky color over my face. I hate to waste anything and since i do like this powder besides the fact that its makes me look ghostly i have continued to use it but always have to apply a generous amount of bronzer over my face afterwerds to even everything out.
I dont think i would buy this again just because it does not match my skin right. I do like everything else about it besides the reason i listed above. I would recommend this to anyone who has fair skin, especially since its so cheap its worth the try.
Has anyone else tried ELFS Complexion Powder? If so did you like it?
Thanks for reading!
