David`s Tea is definitely one of my favourite places to get tea and I like how they are a Canadian company. As a Frequent Steeper member, I`m lucky to receive a free tea every birthday. Since I just joined the program last September, this is my first cup of free birthday tea. You have one month to redeem your tea before the offer expires.
So with the expiration date coming soon, I decided to hurry on over to grab my tea. I also made a purchase there that you`ll probably see in the next while.
-I have always wanted to try their Quangzhou Milk Oolong Tea, but it`s one of their more pricey teas and I didn`t want to take a gamble of buying it before trying it. So this free birthday tea makes it the perfect time to try it!
-Smell: The tea has a creamy milk scent to it. I`m surprised as to it being a lot stronger than I imagined.
- Taste: I decided to try this straight with no add ins since I wanted to know how it would taste originally. I found this tea to be super creamy. And found it to be quite overpowering right after dinner. Maybe it was because of what I ate, but I found this tea to taste like a chunk of butter was added in. Which was not so pleasant and felt a bit sick from it being so powerful in cream. But strangely after drinking it halfway, I started to not mind the butter-like tea and found it to be manageable.
-Price: A cup of hot tea is $3.25 CAD before taxes.
Overall, I think I need to try this tea again to fully determine whether I actually like it and worth the splurge to buy it. But for now, I think I`m sticking to my favourite oolong tea from them, Oolong Supreme.
Have you tried this before?
