Review: CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation

The CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation has been the product that I have been using everyday for the past month or so for school. I purchased it awhile back when it was first released but haven`t really had the chance to use it. The shade that I have it in is "335 Dune". This shade is somewhat of a good match for me, but is just a bit darker than my face and leans more pink whereas I have yellow undertones.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
"Redefine natural beauty with a touch of cucumber water and a hint of jojoba and rose hip extracts. Our light formula takes heavy weight out of your polished finish."

This product will vary in price depending on where you purchase it at. It probably ranges from around $8-12. You can purchase this wherever CoverGirl cosmetics are sold (Walmart, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc.). The product has the standard one fluid ounce for foundation.

I really like the packaging of this foundation. It is simple, classy, and easy to travel with since it`s in a plastic tube with a twist-off cap that is very sleek. The feel of the packaging does give off a very "nature-like" vibe to me. On the front of the product there is also a little tinted boxed "window" with the shade to better help you choose a shade that`s suited for you.

After I finish up this tube, I will definitely repurchase this foundation and hopefully find a shade that is more closely matched to my skin. It`s marketed as a foundation, but I think it feels so much more like a tinted moisturizer because it really does feel really light, soft and airy on the skin! When I first heard about this product, I thought that it wasn`t going to offer any coverage since it was supposed to look "natural", but surprisingly, this foundation offers more coverage than I thought it would! It`s hard to make this foundation look cakey and even feel cakey on the skin, but at most, this foundation offers light to medium coverage. Blendability is not a factor with this foundation because it`s very easily blended into the skin and feels very soft! There is also a nice, light fragrance to this foundation that I really like as well. It has SPF 10, which is not much, but it definitely is better than nothing.

OVERALL, I rate the CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation an A- . I think for everyday use, this is a great foundation to use because it doesn`t feel heavy at all - and it does look natural. My only complaint would be that it is somewhat hard to find a shade that matches, but that`s generally the problem with drugstore foundations since they don`t offer testers.
