The pencil eyeliner that I have been using on a regular daily basis is the <strong>CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in "Black Fire 410"</strong>.
You can purchase this at various drugstores and places like Target, Walmart, and Ulta wherever CoverGirl is sold. It retails for around $6-8.
This looks just like a standard eyeliner pencil. However, at one end of the eyeliner, there is a plastic cap that protects the point of the liner. At the other end of the liner is an attached sponge tool. I really like this end because it is angled and comes to a point. It is perfect for smudging out your eyeliner for a softer, more smokey look! There is also a plastic cap that snaps tight so you can protect this end as well.
I have had this eyeliner for a while now but decided to pull it out and try to use it up. I have been using it every single day for the past couple of months and I really like it! Like the product claims, I think it does have a "liquid-like formula"; the product glides on easily and there`s no tugging at all. Also, the black in this eyeliner looks really black as well, which I like. The eye makeup look that I have been wearing for the past couple months have been the same, and it requires the smudging out of the eyeliner both on the top and bottom lashline. The smudger tip in this is perfect for this! The smudger tip is durable as well so it really allows you to work the product back and forth to smudge it out and create a smokey look. One thing that I did notice though is that it seems like this product is a little bit more easier to apply on my bottom lash line than on my upper lash line. As for the lasting power of this eyeliner, I think that it stays on MY EYES a fairly good amount of time, but again, the lasting power is something that will vary with each person. Since this is not a mechanical eyeliner, you will need to sharpen it. I just use some regular sharpener that I have laying around, nothing special. It can get "messy" but honestly, it does not bother me at all. I probably sharpen it once every 2 weeks or so, which I don`t think is that often at all.
<strong>OVERALL, I give the CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in "Black Fire" a B+</strong>
I would definitely repurchase this eyeliner because it does come in several other colors that I think are fun. I really like the intensity of the black and how smooth the pencil glides on. I just marked it down a bit because I find that on my upper lash line, the product doesn`t apply as easily as on my bottom lash line - but that might also be because I apply it over eyeshadow and then smudge it out.
