I was totally beyond excited when Bzzagent sent out the invites to this campaign. I don`t normally go for drugstore because I have such issues with oily skin and color matching and consistency, they all kinda feel really heavy on my skin, but I digress, out of the choices they gave us, I picked shade 125 Buff Beige in the foundation and shade fair/light in the powder.
right from the start you can see that they are waaaay too light for me, once again, drugstore foundation fail LOL I tried their concealer long time ago and I think that because of that little white swirl which I`m assuming it`s the olay product, the foundation can be lighter than you`d think so keep that in mind. I love me some scented foundation and this is right up my alley, smells very flowery, feels very soft, blends easily, has pretty decent coverage actually, I didn`t think it felt too cakey and one full pump was enough to do my whole face. the powder on the other hand, has absolutely no scent, is very finely milled, might give a little more coverage than just the foundation. I think they go very nicely together for sure. it claims to do this whole tone rehab thing which I assume they mean it has stuff to even out your skin tone, you know, yeah no not for me. I guess you`d have to wear this like every single day for who knows how long to actually see some changes, I used it for about 2 weeks and saw no changes at all. ok so maybe 2 weeks wasn`t long enough right?
as you can see, this shade is much too pink for my face, too light but it still has pretty nice coverage and it photographs really nicely. the downfall, as I`ve mentioned, I have very oily skin and this foundation and powder combo didn`t do any better or worse than you know, any other drugstore stuff, maybe with a good primer the correct shade will work great right? bottom line - do I recommend this foundation? if you can find your shade, if you like flowery scented foundations, and if you like drugstore foundations - although this one is on the pricey side - this might be a good one to try !
