This week I am really on a healthy food eating kick so today for my lunch I decided to eat some soup again. Yesterday I went to an organic serving restaurant and today I went back to the same place to get some of the tasty soups they offer. Today I decided to try the broccoli and cheddar soup and it was really tasty. As you can see the soup is our light green colour and when it was brought out there was a good bit of grated cheese in the centre of the bowl which I thought was a lovely touch and again it was served with two slices of a home-made brown bread which tasted divine because it was just out of the oven and still warm.
Broccoli is a member of the cabbage family and I am sure a lot of you are aware of the cabbage diet which is where you can eat as much cabbage soup as you want to lose weight. Well according to studies, broccoli is said to be the healthiest member of the cabbage family and is extremely healthy and possibly better then the cabbage soup diet if that`s what your interested in. Broccoli is a great source of vitamins C and is also contains vitamins E and B6 as well as a cancer fighting agent called sulphoraphane. What soup do you like?
