Hi everyone! It`s been a while since I`ve done a review and I`ve been sitting on this blush for forever so I figured I should finally write about it. This is Benefit`s Coralista blush, which is a beautiful peachy pink blush with shimmer.
Price & Availability - $28.00 for 0.28 oz - Available wherever Benefit products are sold
Shade & Finish - Peachy pink with fine shimmer
Packaging - Benefit is known for their boxed blushes. Mine is in the original packaging, which also came with a little more product than the current version - The current version now has a hinged top with a mirror instead of a fully detachable lid - It also comes with a narrow rectangular brush (not pictured). It`s not the worse quality and will work in a pinch, but it`s not what I would use to apply blush
Scent - Normally blushes don`t have a scent, so this wouldn`t be on here but this line of blushes do have a scent - This smells very floral to me, which I really like
How to apply - The box packaging with high walls makes a bit difficult to swirl my brush in, but I just use my typical blush brush (Sigma dupe of the MAC 129) or the MAC 109 contour brush
Pros - Very universal, wearable color - I believe it`s pretty widely available as you can get it from Sephora, Ulta, department stores, Benefit stores and their websites. - Fairly pigmented and buildable - Not powdery
Neutrals - Scent: I like it, but others with sensitive noses may not - Box packaging: whether it`s the original or the hinged version, I think the packaging is very bulky - The brush: I could take it or leave it
Cons - Price: they actually reduced the amount you get from 0.42 oz to 0.28 but kept the same price - This color is not anything special: there are many other brands who have done the same color and you either get more or it`s cheaper.
Thoughts I received this in a VIB prize pack from Sephora a long time ago and thought it was a pretty good deal because it was a full sized product and it was a wearable color. The color is very pretty on my NC25 skin, and gives a nice natural flush with a bit of a glowy sheen. It`s definitely not a glitter bomb, so no need to worry about that. I don`t think the blush is super pigmented, but it can be built up a little. This probably wouldn`t be so good for those who are very tan or dark as the color is light. As you can see from my swatch, you can barely see it on my arm and the underside of my arm is pale.
Overall I think this blush is really pretty, but it`s definitely not unique. There are tons of other brands who have this color who offer either more product, a cheaper price or both. The packaging bothers me because it`s bulky, so I don`t travel with this blush. It will probably only work well for those who are fair to light-medium as it is not super pigmented. Thanks for reading! Have you tried out this blush? What do you think? All images and content are my own.
