I got this face primer last month, when I received my Luuux Benefit package! I had already done a brief overview of this product in its sample size, which you can see /viz/benefit-gal-brightening-face-primer-3. I figured it might be a good idea to do a review of the full-size product, though - in some cases, a sample of a product can be a bit different from the full-size version, I`ve noticed. There is a substantial amount of product in the full-size - 11 mL or 0.37 oz. It spread/blends out really well, so it`s probably going to last me several months (especially since I don`t wear it every day). The full-size container comes in a twist-up style, with holes at the top where the product is dispensed. It sort of reminds me of a gel deodorant, lol. I think it may be intended to be applied directly to the skin from the container, but I don`t do it that way...I just use my fingers! :) Here`s the description from Sephora.ca: What it is: A silky pink primer that makes skin appear smoother and brighter. What it does: Prime your skin to pretty - go from dull to darling with That Gal! Wear alone for clear complexion radiance or apply before makeup for a smooth, effortless application. Plus you can use it to re-brighten throughout the day. I agree that this product has a brightening effect - it definitely makes me look more awake! The pink tint works pretty well with my skin tone, but it might clash with others. Because it`s so sheer, I can see it working on a variety of skin tones. I don`t wear very much foundation, and my skin tends to be dry, so I can`t really speak to how well this works as a primer. Typically, foundation stays on my face even without a primer because my dry skin just latches onto it, lol. So I`m not sure how well this would work for oily/combination skin types. Like I mentioned recently in my review of Benefit`s Bathina Body Balm, this product has a strange smell. It fades a little while after application, but it`s still slightly off-putting. It`s chemical-y, and smells kinda...fermented! I don`t know how to describe it exactly, but there you have it! Compared to the mini/sample size I have of this product, I don`t notice any major differences. I think the mini size is a little less smelly, though!
Have you tried That Gal before? If not, would you like to? ***Photos are my own; please do not take.
