Review amp Swatches: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

To be completely honest, I wasn`t interested in these at all until I heard a couple rave reviews about them. I figured that they would be chalky and drying, but they definitely aren`t! So far, I have five colors. I believe there are around twenty shades in total, but the stores I have seen them in only have about half of that. If I happen to stumble across more shades that I like, then I`ll definitely pick up some more!

One feature I really like about these balms is that they are retractable, so you never have to worry about sharpening them. You just twist the bottom silver part. I also like that the color of the packaging corresponds to the color of the actual product, so it is easy to find the color you are looking for if you own multiple shades.

I don`t own any of the Tarte LipSurgence Tints or Clinique Chubby Sticks, so I can`t compare these to those, but I have heard that they are similar.

These have a minty scent/flavor. To me, it has a mild cooling sensation. It`s not overpowering at all.

As for the pigmentation, these can be worn sheer with one coat or built up to have pretty nice color. It`s definitely not the kind of product where all the shades appear the same on the lips.

To me, the best part is the consistency and wear. These apply very smoothly and have a bit of a sheen, like the Revlon Lip Butters. However, they differ from the Lip Butters because they last very well on the lips. My lip products tend to wear off very quickly, especially if I eat or drink anything. To my surprise, I can still see the color/stain on my lips even after eating a meal and drinking. The sheen does not last, but a stain is left. For such a long-wearing product, I am glad that they are not drying. I don`t find them to emphasize dryness and they do not dry my lips out either.

Overall, I am very glad that I decided to give these a chance. I like them far more than I ever expected to. These are great when I have to be somewhere for a while and don`t want to touch up my lips. My favorites so far are Honey and Rendezvous. Honey is a great everyday MLBB (my lips but better) shade for me.

Prices vary depending on the store, but I have seen them for $8.99 at Walgreens and $9.79 at CVS. I got mine during a 30% off sale at Walgreens and buy one get one 50% off sale at CVS. I have also seen these at Target, but I don`t remember the exact price. They seem to be pretty popular because the displays I`ve seen have been nearly wiped out.

Have you tried any of these yet? Are these something you are interested in trying?
