I`ve been hearing many raves about the Urbay Decay Glide-on Eyepencils so I decided to check it out myself =)
I immediately looked at the Smoked 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil set. It has 5 eyeliners of different shades and at a price of $38, that`s a steal considering each eye pencil costs $19 each.
There are 5 shades available:
Uzi - which as a nice shimmered charcoal color. As you can see from my swatch, it actually looks more black than charcoal.
Zero - Standard blackest black eyeliner
Demolition - Dark chocolate colored eyeliner that`s perfect for a natural look, especially when tight-lined with the upper lashes
Smog - I was in love with this color =) It was the perfect shade of brown mixed with some shimmer to add a pop of natural color to the bottom eyelid.
Empire - Deep amethyst color with hints of shimmer. It reminded me of the Maybelline Lasting Drama Pot liners in Eggplant.
Mainline - Sapphire blue with hints of shimmer. I was disappointed how dark it turned out.
Glided on smoothly without effort! After trying the Glide-on eyeshadows, I was hesitant in trying this but the eyeliner was super creamy!
It did not budge at all when you rubbed them vigorously. It stayed true to its name! It did last a good 13 hours without coming off and I didn`t use primer.
Price was amazing for 5 eyeliner pencils, you couldn`t even get that for the Maybelline Pot liners
Large array of colors that can be used everyday.
Took me awhile to get them off. They were very waterproof!
If you own similar shades, this wouldn`t be a great buy unless you need 3/5 of shades.
The Empire and Mainline colors were a bit too dark. I was hoping for more pop in the color.
Sharpening these would be really annoying, especially if you use them everyday.
Overall, this would be a great eyeliner set for someone who loves experimenting with different colored eyeliners. It`s also considered a steal since you get 5 eyeliners that are worth $19 each, though they are a bit shorter than the regular ones. However, the colors are very close to the Maybelline pot liners, so if you own them, you may not want to invest in this.
Hope that helps!
