I love Urban Decay palettes, they`re very high quality in terms of coverage and being smudge-proof and their colors were beautiful.
So when I saw the Urban Decay Glide-on eyeshadows, I just had to try them.
I was actually quite disappointed when I used them, here`s a quick review on them.
Completely smudge-proof when I put them on. Right after I put them on, they did not budge at all, I was very pleased with this.
Very waterproof, I had to use a lot of eye makeup remover to get these babies off, which would be great for a night out =)
They have amazing colors, from pop blue to neutral beige so you can easily find the color you need, I chose pop shimmer pink and blue.
The pencil was very hard to use since they did not smudge, it meant that they did not blend either. As the pencil was bulky, it was hard to position it just right.
Went on very sheer so I had to apply almost 5 layers to get a pop of color. The swatch on my hand was already 3 layers worth of eyeshadow.
Because they were pencil, you had to press hard onto your eyelid and that is not great for your eyes.
Each eyeshadow pencil is about $24 which I think is pretty unreasonable to charge for one eyeshadow color. The colors, though pretty, were too sheer when you first apply it so you had to put multiple coats on and it actually hurts when you use the pencil over your eyelids. It`s hard to blend with them because they`re so smudge-proof so making different shades on your eyelids would be very difficult.
Overall, I think I`ll stick back with their palettes, they seem to be a lot better.
Hope that helps.
