I received this in my Summer Voxbox from Influenster and boy was I happy to see it. I`m a sucker for hand lotions and manicure stuff. my hands and especially my cuticles get very dry and ok, I admit it, one of my nervous/anxiety things is to pull the skin around my nails, eeeeek !!! I don`t bite my nails at all, like never but the skin thing ... yeah, it`s my nasty habit that I`ve been trying to break for years, anyways, this claims to give 24 hr moisture so I had to put it to the test, could not have come at a better time since my recent move put my hands through the ringer !
this "creme" is thick but not in a bad way, it spreads easily, it`s not greasy and absorbs quickly into my hands. now the second picture is of my fingers about 24 hrs later and more than a few dishes and hand washes later. although I do have some dry patches still, they don`t look nearly as bad as before I applied it. now I didn`t reapply it at all so my hands were not feeling soft by this time, yet it truly matters for me - around my nails - it`s not looking bad at all.
as I`ve said before, I`m a sucker for hand stuff so I have quite a little stash, one of those is the Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream, why am I bringing this up ?? the scent. when I applied the Sally Hansen I thought it smelled so familiar and I just couldn`t put my finger on it. so off I went to start sniffing stuff and yup, turns out these two smell exactly the same, not only that, they feel exactly the same AND, gave me the same result.
now let`s see, the Sally Hansen is 3.4 oz and retails for about $8 at drugstores, the Bliss at 2.4 oz is $18, they perform the same on my hands, they even smell the same, and the Sally Hansen is way more accessible than Bliss. bottom line is, I do enjoy both very much, I can not say they provide 24 hr moisture because to me that would mean my hands would FEEL soft 24 hrs later without re applying which is not the case. would I re purchase ?? probably not because as I said, I`m a sucker for hand products and I`m always trying new stuff but I do recommend it to anyone with dry cuticles like mine !
