I go to a lot of Fitness classes because I find it to be more worthwhile than going to the gym alone.
The first class I`ve ever been to was the BodyAttack class from Les Mills. It is being offered across all Goodlife Fitness Centres in Canada.
What to expect:
Lots of coordination
Being completely soaked in sweat
You`re not alone - the typical class is about 30 people
You can go at your own intensity level
You do get a good workout from it
If you lack coordination like myself, it is VERY hard to follow
Depending on the instructor, you may hate or love the class, I found that finding the right instructor makes a HUGE difference
Personally, I think I`ll enjoy this class more if I was more coordinated. Most people say that this class is like cheerleading because you`re doing a lot of jumping left and right with your fist pumped to the air.
For my first class, I actually tripped and fell because I was so uncoordinated and my legs got tangled together.
Though it says on average, you burn 735 calories, take into account that its an average between men and women of all ages, weight and height.
Standing at 5`6 and 98 lbs, I burn about 300 calories a class.
If you are a Goodlife member and you love to jump, I suggest you try this class. It was fun =)
Hope that helps!
