Last summer, I purchased this Curling Wand from Target. It was $24.99. I didn`t really use it much in the summer but once fall came around, I fell in love with this thing. The barrel size is 1 inch. This Remington product is by far one of the best I have purchased. It comes with a glove, so you don`t burn you fingers. The curling iron gets as hot as 410 degrees. You can adjust the heat settings to whatever you would like. I prefer not to use the hottest setting because I have thin hair.
I do recommend that you watch some youtube videos of how to curl your hair using a clipless or clampless curling wand. I watched a few different people use this and based that on how I want my curls to be. You can also achieve similar results without opening your curling iron. All you do is wrap your hair around the wand, hold for 10 seconds and release. If you want tight spiral curls, hold for longer seconds, if you want loose curls, you should hold for a few seconds.
At first, it is a little tricky to use this wand. It is awkward to hold your hair and the wand, behind your head with the wire and everything, but after a few times, you get the hang of it, I promise.
A few tips: Keep the cord behind your head, it is easier to work with the wand pointed downwards. Make sure you use a heat protectant spray to prevent your hair from too much heat.
Curls last for days while using this tool. I absolutely love this curling wand. You get such different looking curls than regular tools. The price is great, the results are even better, and I totally recommend anyone to try this curling wand out.
How do you curl your hair? I used to use hot rollers, but everyone always laughed at me. I love the big voluminous curls. But this is so much better to use and provides great curls. Have you ever tried this?
