Refreshing Soba for a Hot Summer`s Day

Summer is supposed to be over, but it was really hot over the weekend. I got some soba, and it was so refreshing. It`s chilled noodles that you can eat with vegetables or soba sauce. The noodles might looks scary to some people because of the color, but it`s something I`m used to. The noodles are very chewy and really only taste good when chilled. When I make this at home, I do it a little differently. I get a large bowl of ice and I place the noodles over the ice for about five minutes. Then I take it out of the ice bath and put it in a separate bowl. I don`t like the melted watery ice on my noodles. A bowl cost about $12, so it`s cheaper if you make it at home.
