Red Lip Color For Fall

The first official day of Fall for 2012 is something like 5 days away. YAY! I know a lot of you are still holding on to the last little bit of summer but I am so over it. I have been ready for fall and winter since early spring, lol! Yes, I`m serious. I loved seeing the blooms in the spring but once it gets hot and the blooms aren`t new, I`m ready for fallen leaves and burnt reds, oranges, browns, etc.

I thought I would share a grouping of some red lip colors that I will be wearing this fall. In the fall and winter I am more comfortable wearing red lipsticks. While there are a couple in here that I did wear in the summer (they aren`t too rich in coloring and work nicely in the summer) they`ll also be used for the cooler months.

All of these reds are from Revlon. That really doesn`t surprise me or seem odd to me, though, because I`m a HUGE Revlon lip product fan. I think they make some of the best drugstore lipsticks on the market.

I`ll start with my lip butters. I have three of them here. From left to right they are: Candy Apple, Red Velvet, and Cherry Tart. I worth both Candy Apple and Cherry Tart several times in the spring and Summer. Red Velvet I haven`t messed with, though, since it was still cool outside. That one was EXTREMELY popular and will make a beautiful rich red for fall and winter.

Next are two of the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains. They are in the colors Romantic and Adore. Romantic (the brighter, lighter red) I wore a couple of times in the summer. Adore has kind of being sitting in waiting, though, for fall. It is sort of a rusted red lip color. Since I`m a huge fan of the balm stains, I think these will end up getting the most use of all of my red lip products.

The final red lip product here is a gloss. But because of the pigmentation it has, it is almost like a liquid lip color. This is in the color Fire. I know some of you here on Luuux have used this gloss and didn`t like it. I love it, though. I think it is stunning. The payoff is better than a lot of colored glosses on the market...especially red ones.

So, there you have it. Several of the red lip products I will be busting out and putting to use in the coming months.

Are you more likely to wear red lips in the fall and winter or will you wear them anytime (or never at all)? If you have tried any of these, let me know what your thoughts are as well as any suggestions you may have for other good red lip products. (I have a feeling someone will say MAC Russian Red since it is wildly popular)
