In the area of almost 600,000 hectares in the Liaohe River Delta in east China`s Liaoning Province, is the National Nature Reserve Shuantay Hekou.
This is one of the major stopover for migratory birds on their way from East Asia to Australia.
Endless red carpet - a reed swamp the world`s second largest with a unique ecosystem.
In the mud of the river mouth of the Liaohe growing plant with a great force of life. This alga, it begins to bloom every year in April or May. The green color in the beginning, and gradually becomes redder and redder. It becomes red in autumn, when the coastal marine algae begin to die getting red. In September, the plants are saturated with color red.
The magnificent scenery of the beach red only appear in Panjin. Although the plants are growing in other coastal areas, but there they can not be completely red. So this place has such a beautiful name - Red Beach.
When the tide comes, the cane stalks are hidden in the mud. After high tide, the whole area re-opened in all its glory like a burning red clouds above the beach.
Most of the beach is a nature reserve and is closed to the public, and only a small piece of attractions open to tourists.
