heeeyyy girls! `tis erica, and in this tippiee i`mma show you guys how to make a delicious dessert called BAKED SNOWBALLS!(:
- 12 vanilla or chocolate wafer cookies or six 1/2-inch-thick slices of your favorite cake
- 6 scoops of your favorite ice cream
- 3 egg whites at room temperature
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and Maraschino cherries
O1.) break the cookies/slice of cake into a few pieces
O2.) evenly distribute them on six 3-inch ramekins, pressing them onto the bottom of each (:
O3.) fill each ramekin with ice cream & use the back of a spoon to level the top. put in freezer
O4.) preheat the oven to 500 degrees F (: that`s exactly 200 degrees C
O5.) [making the `snow`] put egg whites into a bowl & beat with an electric mixer. stop mixing once they look like bubbles in a bubble bath. add the cream tartar & stop once it looks like shaving cream (:
O6.) start adding the sugar one tablespoon at a time while you beat.
O7.) now do the same with vanilla extract (: beat for two minutes, or until shiny
O8.) take ramekins outta the freezer & spread your fluffy mixture (from above) on top. make sure it covers the W H O L E top! (:
O9.) bake on a cookie sheet between 1-3 minutes, or until the top is golden brown (:
1O.) top your snowballs with any toppings you like; chocolate/caramel syrup, sprinkles, cookie crumbs, cherries, anything!
NOTE:: **watch your snowballs carefully in the oven, for they brown quickly!
