Real Techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman

Honestly, I never really paid any attention to these brushes until recently. I have been very content with the brushes that I already own, which is a mix of M.A.C, Eco Tools, Sonia Kashuk and a few randoms. That was until I started seeing some posts on these and even on Instagram. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Ulta because I had a $5 off coupon that I wanted to use before it expired. The brush I originally wanted was the stippling brush, but they were all out. But I did find this base/foundation core collection brush set.

Included in this set:

contour brush: I actually use this brush as my foundation brush. (I like to use an angled brush for contouring) But this works well for me.

pointed foundation brush: I have not used this yet.

detailer brush: Im sure you can think of many ways to use this brush, I like to use it as a lip brush. I have melted a few of my lipsticks into little containers, and this is nice to use instead of my fingers.

buffing brush: this is what I use to set my powder with.

The set was $17.99, but with the coupon it was $13USD I actually have nothing bad to say about this set. I love that the soft bristles are taklon, so you are able to use it with any medium, powder or liquid, and it will not shed. I especially love that the aluminum part on the handles are extended. That makes cleaning these brushed easy because I dont have to worry about water doing any damage to the end part of the handle. The fact that it comes with a carry case is always a bonus. This might be something for you to look into for yourself, or maybe as a gift!
