I have a few items that I regret buying. I have a bad habit of not researching before I buy, or just buying things when they are on sale.
First I have an ELF Essentials cream eyeshadow in `Coffee and Cream". I honestly have no idea why I got this, I knew it would suck..and boy did it. The white/cream side is super shimmery. Once you tried to blend it out...you were left with just a glittery eyelid. The brown side is just watery, no color pay off at all. I`m giving it to my 7 year old niece to play with. But what do you expect, it was $1.
Next are 2 Wet & Wild matte lipsticks, they cost $1.99 each. I have them in "Bare it all" a nude color, and "Think Pink" a bright pink color. They are both awful. They are matte, which I like, but they didn`t apply evenly. They show every line in your lips. Not flattering at all.
I bought this Clean & Clear Foaming Cleanser a few months ago. As you can see, its half gone, but I hate it so much. I have dry sensitive skin, and this stuff dries my face out so much more! It makes my skin tight and no about of moisturizer could fix it. It cost around $6 at Target.
My foundation regret is Maybelline Fit Me, in 110. I hate this foundation. It broke me out so bad. I would apply it, and blend and blend and blend and I felt like it would just sit on my face. It wouldn`t set, or dry or do anything. Even if I set it with a powder, I could literally scrape off my foundation. It cost me around $8 at Target.
ELF Essential Facial Whip in Spotlight. It was $1, so I`m not surprised it`s crap. It is the same deal as the eyeshadow, blends away to clear shimmer. Does not work for a highlight or anything really.
ELF Essentials Plumping Lip Glaze in Oasis. It was $1 at http://eyeslipsface.com. The color isn`t bad, just not what I expected. One end is the colored gloss, and the other is the clear plumping glaze. The glaze smells horrific and I felt like it did nothing. I got no plumping results. I decided to then just use the gloss alone, but it has zero stay power.
Revlon lipstick in Silver City Pink. It cost $5 at Target. It looks like a perfect light pink in the tube. But once you swatch it, it is so shimmery! I don`t think anyone can pull this color off.
NYC color stick in light. The color matches me really well, better than most concealers I have. My issue with this is how chalky and dry it is. It applies rough and it dries my skin out. Its also impossible to blend and work with.
ELF Studio Blush in Peachy Keen. It was $3 at Target. Its a beautiful color and has amazing pigmentation. It just doesn`t show up on my skin tone, since I am so pale. This would live AMAZING on someone with a darker skin tone.
