As I mentioned in my last post I am doing a mini series with my "product of the day" post because I want to talk about brushes! See my last post for information about my foundation brush!
In this post, I am going to talk about my Kabuki Brush. I have many different brands of brushes. I have Clinique, MAC, Sigma, Estee Lauder, and Lancome (as well as some from target, but I`m not a huge fan)! If you have read any of my previous posts you know how much I like Clinique! Occasionally though I do use my other brands as well. This is the only one however that I use on a daily basis that is not clinique! This one is from MAC. I will tell you up front that I paid a good amount for this- it was like $40 if I remember correctly. But it was WELL WORTH IT! I have had this brush for 2 years now and I love it.
This is the brush that I use to apply my powder. I use it for both loose and pressed powder. I will run the brush through the powder then place the powder on my skin. Once the powder has been placed on the skin I use this brush to buffer it in using circular motions. This technique creates a more airbrushed and flawless finish.
I clean this brush maybe once a week. Since it is powder it does not need to be cleaned as much as the foundation. It is made with real hairs as well, but powder brushes do not develop bacteria as quickly as foundation brushes do.
