I have obsessed w/ LUUUX! Here`s my "Prep For Polish" & what I do! Of course, I love all of these products & recommend every single one!
Step 1: Remove all of your recent nail polish.
I use Beauty Secrets Pure Acetone. Acetone is considered bad for your nails but I love it. Since it`s acetone, it removes really quickly.
Step 2: Trim & file your nails if need be.
I like using the Revlon beauty tools. So I use the Revlon nail clipper & nail file. They are very inexpensive.
Step 3: Wash your hands!
I like washing my hands. Mostly to know that my hands are clean before I apply lotion. I use Bath & Body Works hand soaps.
Step 4: Moisturize your hands.
Moisturizing your hands is very important. Mostly when your hands are always dry like me! I love Bath & Body Works hand creams & lotions!
Step 5: Remove lotion off your nails.
Since there is probably lotion/cream on your nails, take a q-tip & remove it off your nails.
Step 6: Apply cuticle oil or cuticle lotion.
Put it on your cuticles to moisturize & strengthen them. I like using Julep Essential Cuticle Oil or rose salve.
Step 7: Apply a base coat.
Applying a base coat will prevent your nails from staining. The most inexpensive base coat I like is Sally Hansen Hard As Nail Hardener. At my Target, it`s only $2!
After doing your nails, make sure to apply a top coat. I like Julep Fast Dry Topcoat. Top coats help your polish stay longer & helps w/ chipping.
