I purchased this box of Samosa at Whole Foods a while back and have had it in my freezer. We gave the box a whirl and baked them off on the oven. I purchased them because I used to work with a few Indian men who during pot lucks would have their wives make Samosa`s and they`d bring them in as their contribution. I LOVED those things. Since I no longer work with them I figured might as well have something I enjoy. Well ... sadly, it wasn`t that easy. These are the vegetarian version which is made with spicy potato and peas. They`re like VERY spicy and they`re very heavy in the stomach. I don`t know if it`s because of how these are made, but the homemade ones I used to have were so light and delicious. You could eat a few of them -- but these ones are like lead the moment it lands in your belly. It`s a very spicy curry which is what the potatoes are flavored with. I like curry, but this is just not a home-run for me, which is a bummer.
