These are some authentic Polish pierogie I purchased at my local Polish store. I typically purchase the potato & onion, blueberry, apple, sauerkraut or cabbage -- but I purchased these because the potato & onion were gone.
They are made in Worcester, MA in a Polish neighborhood, at one of the local bakeries, packaged, frozen and then shipped off to local stores. All you have to do is drop them into boiling water, let them cook through until they`re hot and serve.
I set two in a bowl, sprayed them with spray butter and dug in. My immediate reaction "I miss the onion." You can definitely taste the garlic in them and since I`m not used to garlic being in my pierogies I didn`t particularly care for them. They were alright, but not something I`d be repurchasing. I just feel as though if something isn`t broke, you can`t fix it - meaning if you like something one way, you probably won`t like it another if it`s changed.
