After our half marathon last Saturday we went for all you can eat sushi at Shabusen and also met fellow luuuxer Trinity Lane, however we were so hungry at that point we didn`t take pictures and were quite full. So for dinner me and the man just decided to go out for drinks and appetizers since we weren`t too hungry. We decided to go to Cactus Club since it was only a few blocks from our hotel. I decided to get the sangria which had fresh strawberries & raspberries, zinfandel, apricot brandy, sprite and a splash of bellini and the man got a caeser which had smirnoff vodka mixed with our signature blend of spices and clamato juice, finished with a borettane onion, fresh bocconcini, vermouth soaked olive and a peruvian pepper. We decided on two appetizers to share and got the korean style lettuce wraps braised pork, papaya slaw, kimchi, korean chili sauce and robs goat cheese flatbread grape tomatoes, caramelized onion, pesto, arugula, balsamic glaze, maldon sea salt. I had forgotten how tasty pork was since we seldom eat pork or beef so I really enjoyed the lettuce wraps. The flatbread was good too but I was at a carb overload at that point since I had stuffed myself with sushi and waffles at the post race brunch lol.
Have you eaten at Cactus Club?
If you have what is your favorite thing there?
If not have you had lettuce wraps or flatbread before and what`s your favorite thing in or on them?
