Post Exam Sephora Haul

I finished my final exams yesterday. It was a very stressful semester with really difficult courses and other challenges, so I`m so glad I made it through. As a way to reward myself, I did a little haul at Sephora today. Ever since I started full-time studies, I just no longer have the funds to afford buying expensive high-end makeup. But today, I thought I deserve something nice for getting good grades as well as going out of my comfort zone so many times in the past few months.

Here`s what I got at Sephora
Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush in Petal
NARS Eyeshadow Primer

Okay so you see...I still had very good self-control although I was in an impulsive shopping mode. I bought 2 things only although there were like 10 things that I really wanted to get. I was able to successful talk myself out of getting most of them so I`m really proud of myself.

A Brief Review
NARS Eyeshadow Primer:
I was using Urban Decay`s Primer Potion and a mineral eyeshadow primer from Pureluxe before purchasing this. UDPP was too hard to blend, and the mineral primer takes too long to dry. I`ve heard so many good things about the NARS primer, so even though it was $29 CDN I still got it. I tried it today after I got back from Sephora. It has everything that you can wish for in an eyeshadow primer. It dries fast and to a clear finish, it makes the color pop, and it holds the eyeshadow in place very well. I used my fingertip to try to remove the eyeshadow and barely anything came off. Highly recommended!

Dior Rosy Glow Blush
This product is a new product that came out earlier this year. It`s not limited edition, but a Sephora exclusive. It has a strong rosy smell so if you don`t like that, stay away from this. I personally like it. This blush is supposed to change color depending on your skin`s acidity, temperature etc. so it will look a little different on everyone and look different at different times. I asked someone at Sephora to apply this on me just to see what it would look on my skin. At first it was a very faint baby pink, then after about 2-3 minutes the color really started showing up. I do like how it looks on me (a natural, healthy pink flush), but I think it`s a little tricky to get the hang of how much to apply because the color darkens a few minutes after application. Overall it`s quite expensive at $45 CDN so try before you buy!
