Porkchops For Dinner

Dinner tonight was something my husband requested I make. We like porkchops but don`t tend to buy and make them very often. Not really sure why, we just don`t. My husband must have been craving them, though, because while I was making my grocery list/meal plan he asked if we could add that.

So, what I made tonight was breaded porkchops, green beans, and mashed potatoes.

The porkchops were doubled breaded. First I coated them in the dry mixture (which I made by combining French`s Onions, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder) then they went into the wet mixture (just an egg and milk) and back into the dry mixture a second time. This gives you a very crispy coating after baked. I put them into a baking dish and cooked them at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

The green beans were french cut green beans put into a sauce pan with a bit of water, chicken bullion, onions, salt, and pepper. I put the lid on and turn the stove to medium-high and let them cook until tender.

Finally, the mashed potatoes. Super easy. Boil chunks of potato until fork tender and then mash with some milk, butter, salt, and pepper.


Simple dinner that tastes good. My husband enjoyed it and was glad I made it.
