When you see an advertisement for something, do you take the time to read or view the ad? I usually don`t unless it`s really appealing which is rare but in Japan-- it`s another story because they will do more than read/view the add but stick their headphones/earphones into the ad to "hear" the ad, lol. In Shibuya Tokyo, Japan there is a music video advertisement for the new single Spring of Life. There are a bunch of plug outlets for your headphone/ear phone so you can listen to the song/view the ad. It`s a pretty pricy preview of the song too, $35 to buy on CD or $12 on iTunes. I never heard the song personally but for that much.. this song better be long.
Anyway, what do you think about this high tech ad? Do you think future ads around the world will require you to use your headphone to hear the ad? Would you stick your headphones into the plug to listen if you were a bystander? It`s a pretty "different" way of viewing an ad, look at the bunch of people listening to music just standing there sort of weird but.. I can perhaps see this useful in the library at College though but nowadays everyone has some sort of music device though.
