Finding the appropiate dining place in Iasi isn`t difficult . A great number of restaurants and bars are available, with many of them serving traditional Romanian specialties. Foreigners never seem to have enough of the delicious mititei, slnin, mmliga, ciorb de burt or sarmale. The Moldavian wines, especially the Cotnari brand, are also worth of a try.
You can try any of these delicious Moldavian dishes in restaurants like:

1. Casa Bolta Rece
It is said that two of the most important romanian literature authors, Ion Creang and Mihai Eminescu , met at Casa Bolta Rece. It is very easy to get here, mainly because of its location near the Medicine University, close to downtown. At Casa Bolta Rece, You will be able to choose from a variety of goodies such as: tochitur, moldavian pudding or chicken zama with home made noodles. Dont forget to ask for the international known Cotnari wine, or for the Tohani, Bucium, Murfatlar vineyards wine

2. House of Lavric

You will be welcomed by the 1950s atmosphere, in a 4 star restaurant, arranged with specific objects of the old city. The jazz or the piano music playing on the background match with the historical aspect of the local. For your meal, you could order with no problem mutton pastrami with cheese and maize porridge together with a red wine.

3. Trei Sarmale Inn

Although it is situated at the city exit, it would be a shame to miss the experience offered by this local. Dating from XVII century, is one of the places that perfectly reproduce the moldavian spirit. The building architecture is traditional, with specific peasant interior, and the orchestra delight the guests with old beautiful songs.
The menu wont disappoint you, the cabbage rolls are the places speciality, and together with a good wine will make you wanting to never leave.
If your BUDGET is LOW, youll find plenty of fast-foods around student campuses or inside
Iulius Mall. International specialties are also available in a wide range, varying from the classic Italian (Tosca) ,French (Casa Bilius) ,Chinese (Dragon) ,the less common Irish (Ginger Ale) ,Lebanese (Sindbad) ,Dutch (Aads Place), Little Texas , Phenicie.
