The base color polish is from China Glaze Magnetix Collection called `Drawn to You`, $10 at Ulta. It is one of those magnetic polishes that uses a special magnet to create lines/patterns on each nail. I thought the color was sooooo pretty because its a mauvy purple shade. Well, this had been my first time trying Magnetix and I was so excited and hoping to get good and noticeable results. Unfortunately, that didnt happen. Either I wasnt using the magnet correctly or this brand of polish was NO good! Anyways, the line patterns didnt show up and I didnt want to waste a pretty polish color. I couldnt go out with it looking "incomplete" on my nails so I took out my Orly Instant Artist polish (highly recommend). Its in the shade `Hot Pink`. Such a great hot pink neon color. The brush is thin and longer than normal so its specifically used to create nail art. I did a few strokes on both sides to create a zebra effect. I thought the color combo went great together. The neon wasnt so bold and looked subtle compared if I had used a neon pink Base. I am satisfied with the outcome but disappointed in the China Glaze magnetic polish. I am tempted to try the original magnetic polish from POLISH INC. but its pricier :/
